I would like to thank the Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club of America for inviting me to judge this specialty. All exhibitors and dogs were a pleasure to deal with! Dandie Dinmont Terriers are a very charming breed! I find it hard to keep a straight face when judging them! Their beautiful strong heads and expression, large, round intelligent hazel eyes with dark eye rims, look right into you heart. I was impressed to find most dogs with this correct feature!! The Dandie’s body outline is very unique and totally different from most Terrier breeds. It is perfectly detailed and your standard needs to be studied to a T. Long ago I put it in my head and I love finding the dog with the “correct angles” when I judge! This breed is very detailed and keeps you captured! The coats on almost all dogs were prepared and timed for this weekend, meaning they were all in the right length and depth of coat, a pleasure to see and judge. I love how the colors blend, from the body coats to the top knot, underline, and elsewhere the standard requires. I loved this entry. I would also like to thank the club for the fabulous dinner Saturday night and the enjoyable evening. To top off this fantastic day, I received your precious judge’s gift! The purse with the Dandie artwork is gorgeous and I will treasure it forever! On top of it all, it was wrapped in “Dandie Dinmont paper,” unreal, as well as the bag it came in! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
