Buffet, Annual Meeting and Seminar: Friday, MAY 31, 2024

At 6 Flags Holiday Inn, an informal buffet dinner beginning with open cash bar at 5:00 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner at 5:30 p.m.

The DDTCA Annual Meeting will convene at 6:30 p.m. Members and guests are welcome to attend. Notice will be sent to all members at least 30 days prior to this date.

Following the Annual Meeting, our own Professor Trisha Smith, Esq. will lead a discussion about Estate Planning for Dog Lovers. Advanced reservations are required only for the dinner.

SPECIALTY BANQUET AND SILENT AUCTION SATURDAY June 1, 2024

The Specialty Banquet and Silent Auction will be held at the Purina Farms Event Center, Founders Room (second floor) on Saturday, June 1 . Reservation deadline is May 10, 2024.

We will invite judges to provide the traditional remarks from the judges; regardless, their cri tiques will be published in M&P. We are planning a relaxing evening of food, drink and con versation with fellow Dandie exhibitors and friends. Best of all, the SILENT AUCTION contin ues! The cash bar will open at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and AUCTION MADNESS at 6:30 p.m. The buffet dinner starts with a Blackberry and Arugula salad, Braised Beef Brisket, Pan Seared Chicken Breast with Classic Mornay sauce, Haricots Vert and Mascarpone Scalloped Potatoes, with a New York Style Cheesecake dessert and coffee or tea. During dinner and the conversations after, the Silent Auction will be in action. Cost is $50.00 per person.

The “ Silent Auction ” is back! You can help make this event one for the ages! Take inventory - and find treasurers to share with the fancy and help raise funds to support the operations of our club. Donate sale items early and often. To donate, contact Trista Acker, at Taa0321@gmail.com or telephone 614.203.8522. You may bring your

items with you to the Event Center on Saturday after judging, or ship in advance to Trista. If shipping, contact Trista for address information. If bringing items, please notify us! We need to organize the tables ’ content prior to the auction event!

There may also be a live auction! Come prepared!!

To volunteer to help with set - up and take down of the auction, please contact Trista. To order dinner and attend this event, complete the order form on the website or mail the order form in this booklet.

Pre - specialty orders preferred; Ways & Means will have limited number to sell after the shows from the DDTCA.org Store. Order on the DDTCA website. DANDIE DERBY RACES

Sunday June 4 - Time TBD after Breed Judging Agility Field - Purina Farms

Prizes & ribbons will be offered for all Dandie Dinmonts participating in the races. If your dog gets the Dandie dithers, goes on a tear, or loves to chase other dogs, this is the FUN EVENT for you! The 4 Race Categories Offered are:

 Class A: DANDIE DARLINGS PUPPY CLASS - 18 months of age and under;  Class B: DANDIE DITHERS NOVICE CLASS – Not sure what your dog will do;

 Class C: DANDIE DAMMIT OPEN CLASS – Hope dog will run  Class D: DAPPER DANDIE VETERAN CLASS— 7 years and older Dandies will compete with each other in the same class. Winners of each class will compete in the finals for “ Derby Winner ”. Complete an Entry Form for each dog and return with payment or enter and pay on - site on the day of the Derby.
